Engineering Protocol

PERMANENCE THROUGH OXIDATION.

Our proprietary alloy tip doesn't deposit ink; it oxidizes the paper fibers on contact, leaving a precise, silver-toned mark that outlasts the paper itself.

01

Zero Smudge. Since there's no liquid, your work is dry before you even finish the stroke.

02

Unlimited Lifespan. The tip wears down by less than 1mm every 20 years of daily use.

ENGINEERING FAQ.

How does it write without ink?
The tip is a proprietary aerospace alloy. As you write, microscopic amounts of metal are deposited onto the paper, oxidizing it to leave a permanent, smudge-proof mark. It feels like a 2H pencil but behaves like permanent ink.
Does the tip ever wear down?
The alloy is engineered to be extremely hard (9.0 on the Mohs scale). It wears down by less than 1mm every 20-25 years of daily use. For most users, it is quite literally the last pen they will ever need.
Is the mark erasable?
No. Because the mark is caused by oxidation of the paper fibers rather than a graphite layer sitting on top, it cannot be removed with standard erasers. It is permanent, waterproof, and archival-safe.
What paper works best?
InfinityWrite works on almost any paper surface, but high-quality, toothy paper (like stone paper or heavy bond) provides the best contrast. It does not work on glossy, non-porous surfaces like plastic or coated thermal paper.
